People-to-People with the Ramat Negev

Shalom to you all,

The Ramat Negev Regional Council would like to “adopt” any soldier or student from Colorado coming to Israel either to serve or study, respectively.

In light of the warm people-to-people relationship between the Ramat Negev and the Colorado Jewish community, the Regional Council would appreciate receiving all inquiries, names and details of students and soldiers arriving from Colorado for long periods of time (6 months or more).

During their stay we would be delighted to host each and every one of them in Ramat Negev and introduce him/her to the wonderful activities taking place in the region thanks to the generous contribution of the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado.

We will make sure to match each guest with an "adoptive" family where each student / soldier can feel at home, especially on weekends and holidays, by attaining a sense of family, a way of making direct acquaintance with Ramat Negev residents and almost all the pampering a home can provide (such as laundry, family meals, internet access, and so on). The ties with the family will be built in a process overseen by the council, in which we will follow the relationship between the guest and the host family, strengthening it as much as possible.

We call on the young adults of Colorado to take advantage of the warm "home away from home" that Ramat Negev provides all our Colorado guests and to contact us by e-mail in order to receive, download and fill in 1-2 forms that will help us match them up with suitable Israeli families.

Please write and send us potential names of young people on their way to Israel who might be interested in this kind of connection.

Sincerely yours,
